Thank you for stopping by this little corner of creativity. While my name is neither Nina nor Jean, they are two of the women who have inspired me most as a woman, wife, mother, friend, sister and most importantly, child of God.

Homemaker extraordinaire, cook, baker and seamstress are some of the first words that come to mind when I think about Grandmom (Nina). She has always been an open door of hospitality and warmth. She raised 5 children and made many of their clothes. She taught me how to sew, to knit and enjoy afternoons chatting on a porch swing. Her plethora of family stories continue to entertain anyone who has the privilege of time with her, and she can drink the hottest cups of coffee. She’s been known to eat dessert for breakfast sometimes. Her royal wave as we drive away is one of a kind. Many a Christmas has been spent at her home, and many an Easter Sunday at her church. So many priceless memories made in her home and around the yard. With more memories to come, I’m sure.

Classic, chic, petite, intentional, polished, prayerful southern lady are some adjectives I’ve always attached to Gigi (Jean or Jeanie as some knew her). Her homes were impeccably and traditionally decorated, and the gardens were my favorite. The color coral will always remind me of her, as will gold hoop earrings, cross necklaces and red lipstick. Hand-written letters were a signature Gigi activity, and she knew how to set a stunning dinner table. Papa, her husband, was adored and always so well taken care of by Gigi. As a child, I thought her love of minute details and items paired well with her tiny stature, and now, I like to think she passed that passion along to me. She was a prayer warrior and her love of Jesus was infectious. A few years ago, she went to be with Him. She is sorely missed, but I know with confidence I will see her again.

There’s so much more I could say about these two, and all the other people who have helped me start this little company; but for now, I’m ready to create, design and share the joy I find in these pieces.
